1. Information We Collect

Lingualite is designed to collect as little personal data as possible. The app stores your learning progress, decks, and preferences locally on your device. If you create an account, we also store your email address and an anonymous identifier so progress can sync across devices.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide and improve the app — saving progress, restoring purchases, syncing decks, sending occasional service emails (for example, a sign-in link), and diagnosing crashes. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share data only with the small number of service providers we need to run Lingualite — for example, the cloud platform that hosts our backend, the email service that delivers sign-in links, and, for Premium+, the AI provider that processes the text you submit for translation. Each is bound by contractual confidentiality and processes your data only on our instructions.

4. Data Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, restrict internal access to a need-to-know basis, and review our security practices regularly. No system is perfect, but we treat your data with care and will notify affected users promptly if a breach occurs.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain kinds of processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at support@lingualite.eu and we'll respond within thirty days.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we erase your personal data from our systems within thirty days, except where we're required to retain certain records for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Children's Privacy

Lingualite is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Third-Party Links

The app and this site may contain links to third-party services — for example, the App Store, Google Play, or external dictionary references. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll post the updated version here and adjust the "last updated" date. For significant changes, we'll also notify active users in-app or by email before the changes take effect.
